Walt Disney’s Animation Studios hit the snow ball out of the park with its film, “Frozen.” Listed as the 12th highest grossing film ever produced, “Frozen” has become a part of American history and culture. Even five years after its release date you can still find “Frozen”-themed backpacks, toys, and clothes in every American city today. Since 2013, the movie has won two Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song “Let It Go,” the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film, the BAFTA Award for Best Animated Film, five Annie Awards, two Grammy Awards for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media and Best Song Written for Visual Media, and two Critics’ Choice Movie Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song. Whew!
The film takes place in the far off kingdom of Arendelle. Two sisters, Elsa and Anna, must learn how to rule their kingdom together after the passing of their parents.
